One of the best ways that you can lose the pregnancy baby weight is simply to breastfeed. One of the reasons why we naturally gain weight during pregnancy is because we are storing calories up so that we can feed our young. Even after the baby is born, our body is storing energy to feed the baby. Simply breastfeeding your newborn can burn between 200 calories and 500 calories every single day. This is nature's way of helping you lose the pregnancy baby weight so that you can get healthy again the right way.

Eating healthy is important not only for losing weight, but also for breastfeeding as well. Your baby should be getting the best possible meal, which means that the meal should be nutritious, and this requires you to eat properly as well. If you are not eating right, then the right nutrients are not reaching your child through your breast milk, and you will not be getting enough nutrients either. You should aim to eat between four and five smaller meals every day rather than three larger meals, because this will boost your body's metabolism and keep you healthy and feeling full and energized.

It is also vitally important that you drink enough water, especially if you are also breastfeeding.
You should drink a minimum of 10 8 oz glasses of water every day. What this is going to do is flush toxins out of your body that accumulated as a result of the pregnancy. Water is also going to make you feel fuller for longer periods of time so that you do not overeat throughout the day.

The food pyramid is going to serve as a suitable foundation for determining what types of foods you should be eating. You should be eating healthy carbs, fruits and vegetables and dairy while avoiding fatty meats in favor of lean meats and fish.

Your healthy pregnancy diet should absolutely contain a wide variety of different vegetables. Each vegetable contains different nutrients in different levels. You should strive to introduce plenty of dark leafy green vegetables in your diet, as they provide you with an excellent natural source of iron.

Rather than having three typically large meals every day, you should consider having more frequent portions of smaller meals. When you eat more often but choose smaller meal portions, the result is a healthier metabolism.

You should not be trying to lose weight during your pregnancy through any unhealthy means. The neat thing about eating right is that if you have some weight to lose, it will come off naturally, you do not have to rely on fad diets or other extreme measures to lose weight. Your body knows how much weight you need to promote the wellness of your baby.

Take a multi-vitamin to supplement the nutrients that you are getting from meals, but do not rely on a multi vitamin to replace healthy meals all together. Your body needs to break down real, natural foods in order for you to be healthy and you cannot simply eat poorly and rely on a multi vitamin to make up for it.

Make sure that you are drinking enough water every day. The bare minimum that you should be drinking is 8 glasses of water, but you may need more depending on your body's unique needs.

Consuming a healthy pregnancy diet really is not difficult, but it can go a long way in promoting good health for you and your unborn child.

Are you wondering how you can already be considered to be two weeks pregnant before you have even conceived the baby? With your pregnancy developing two weeks before conception, you may wonder how you can be pregnant without having conceived a child.

Conception is something that typically occurs while you are in the second week of your pregnancy, or two weeks following your last menstrual period. Even when you are in the process of menstruating, your body is working on preparing for the baby.

The conception process, and pregnancy developing:

  • First, one of the eggs that are maturing in your ovaries is released.
  • This process is known as ovulation, and it typically occurs between 11 days and 14 days after the end of your menstrual period.
  • After ovulation occurs, the egg is going to move down through the fallopian tube, which is a tubal structure that connects your uterus to your ovary, and the egg waits here to be fertilized.
  • If you engage in sexual intercourse during this phase, then you may become pregnant!
  • The sperm can actually live in your body for as long as six days. Once your egg has been released, it has to be fertilized within a period of only 12 to 24 hours.
  • At this point in time, the egg is only approximately 1/200th of an inch large, and it is too small for you to see with a naked eye.

Although the conception may not have occurred yet at this point in time, your body is still working on getting ready for the pregnancy. For example, when you are at two weeks, a new lining is being developed in your uterus, thickening so that it will be able to nourish your newly conceived baby. Your body is also sending out chemical signals and hormones, releasing the egg from a follicle within your ovary. When the egg is released, it is released into the fallopian tube, and this is where it waits until it has been fertilized. The hormones that are at work are progesterone and estrogen, and they cause the temperature of your body to increase somewhat. Using a basal body temperature will help you detect this slight change in temperature, which will indicate when ovulating is taking place.

Occasionally during the ovulation process, the ovary can produce more than a single egg, resulting in what is known as non-identical or fraternal twins, or triplets or even larger numbers of children depending on how many eggs are released, providing that all of the eggs have been fertilized.

Fertilization is the process that occurs when a sperm and an egg connect, forming a single cell which is known as a zygote. Zygote is a Greek word that means "yoked together". Here is what is going on during the third week of your pregnancy, as far as baby development stages are concerned:

  • By the time you reach the third week of your pregnancy, the zygote, which is microscopic in size, is going to divide over and over at an astounding rate within your uterus.
  • By the time you reach the third week of your pregnancy, your baby has already developed all the genetic material needed for life, with half of his or her 23 pairs of unique chromosomes coming from you and the other half coming from your partner.
  • By this point, the gender of your child has already been determined by his or her genetic makeup.
  • Within a period of 38 weeks, your baby is going to grow from being a single solitary cell, into being made up of more than a total of 2 trillion different cells!
  • Within approximately 12 hours following fertilization, the single cell zygote that is your baby is going to divide into two completely identical cells. Each of these two cells is going to split again, creating a total of four cells, and then this split becomes eight cells. This is going to continue over and over again, as the total number of the cells in the baby is going to continue to double over and over again with every passing twelve hours.
  • When single zygotes split into two separate zygotes, each possessing the same genetic makeup, then the result is identical twins.
  • During this third week of your pregnancy, the zygote is just in the beginning stages of moving down through your fallopian tube to reach the uterus.

In addition to these baby development stages, your body is also going through some other changes and experiences as well. It is too early yet for you to experience any outward symptoms, and you have not yet missed a period. However:

  • At three weeks of pregnancy, your baby is currently in a phase known as blastocyst. The developing placenta is currently beginning to produce a hormone known as human chorionic gonadotropin or hCG, which is the hormone that is detected in pregnancy tests to determine whether or not you are pregnant.
  • At this point, you can take a home pregnancy test in order to detect the hormone after between six and twelve days following fertilization.
