Here are some of my favorite makeup tricks and tips for just that purpose.

Rosy Lip Hues

Rosy lip hue is perfect because it gives you a youthful look without necessarily giving you a young look.

Lips can tend to lose some of their color with age, and unfortunately they can also become much more prone to becoming dry. Choosing ultra bright colors that feature heavy pigments is not the right path to take in this particular stage of life. Instead, you should be choosing sheer lipsticks and sheer lip glosses in order to add sheen and to hydrate your lips instead. These things are going to help your lips look healthier and fuller. Choose shades that are "natural but better" such as pinky beige and rose. These shades mitigate the appearance of any fine lines by reflecting light away.

1 - Choose the proper hue. The most flattering shade for your lips is likely going to be close to your normal, natural lip color, but it should also complement your individual skin tone. Some examples of lip color hues that happen to be universally flattering include pinky brown, beige pink, nude, rosy brown and blackberry, so consider giving one of these a shot.

2 - Now you are going to want to line your lips in order to prevent any color from seeping into those pesky vertical lines. You can use a lip pencil that coordinates well with your lipstick, and you can line the natural border of your lips, beginning with the top lip. Make sure that you pay particular attention to the natural V shape of your top lip. Now move underneath the bottom lip and repeat the process again. If you want to build fullness, you can fill in the entire border of both lips.

3 - Now you are going to want to apply the color. You can use a lip brush for the application process, as the synthetic fibers are going to help the gloss or the lipstick adhere properly while filling the lines in as putty would. Blend from one corner to the other, and then press your lips together so that you can seal the shade in.

4 - Finally, the finishing process: To add additional sheen and a feeling and look of fullness, you can dab your lipstick in the center of your mouth using a clear gloss. This has a powerful effect on the lips and adds fullness and sheen to complete the look.

Creamy Concealer

As you age your skin begins to lose some of its elasticity and thins out, and this can make you appear tired and can allow your blood vessels to show through which heightens the discoloration in your face. Choosing a concealer to lighten dark circles will help to life your lids the appearance of a light lift while providing your face with a nice overall glow.

1 - Make sure that you choose the right hue. Choose something yellow based that is two shades lighter than your own skin tone.

2 - Now apply it using a concealer brush with a small head. Apply a little near your lower lashes at the innermost corner of your eyes and then the hollows of your nose. Tap lightly and blend gently with a finger for the best results.

3 - Finally, set it using a light dusting of a loose, sheer yellow toned powder to lock your concealer in its place.

Hydrating Foundation

A hydrating foundation product is going to be key because it will address your fine lines, your sagging skin and your sun spots all at the same time. Creamy formulas are good for moisturizing, plumping up skin that is drooping and evening out your tone. Avoid mattes and powders, because they will make your wrinkles appear more pronounced.

1 - Choose the proper hue. Test different hues out until you find the one that fits. Choose a color lighter, one just right and one that is darker to your skin tone, and make stripes from your cheek to your jaw to test them out. Check in different types of lighting - Which one disappears into your skin seamlessly?

2 - Now apply it by patting a little bit into the areas that need to be evened out such as red spots and blemishes using a makeup wedge, a fingertip or a makeup brush. Blend in an upward direction in the direction of your hairline to get a natural effect. Do not go overboard! It's unnecessary!

3 - Use a light coat of yellow toned, loose powder on your chin, your nose and your forehead if your skin is on the oilier side. Apply using a velour puff or a blush brush to lock your foundation and to smooth the texture.

There is absolutely nothing worse in the world than having skin that is dry, itchy and uncomfortable. Dry skin is capable of happening at any time throughout the year, but it seems to become much more prevalent during the winter months. Here is what you need to know about dry skin, and the skin care advice that you need to overcome your dry skin once and for all:

Why is dry skin so common in the winter? - In the winter months, the low temperature, the low humidity and the strong winds all work hard to deplete your skin of its natural lipids layer, which is what is responsible for keeping your skin nicely moisturized throughout the rest of the year. There are other things that suck the moisture out of your skin including the dry air from your furnace or another heating source.

Skin Care Advice for Dry Skin

1. Keep your water lukewarm rather than hot, because hot water is capable of robbing your skin of the moisture that it needs, causing your skin to become dry. If you must have a hot shower, try keeping your showering to a minimum and try to shower only once every day. Skip the hot tub, too, because the hot water and the chemicals can really be torture for already dry skin.

2. Make sure that you are moisturizing your skin after your showers or washing your hands, because moisturizer is truly the key when it comes to maintaining skin that is soft and supple. Apply the moisturizing product while your skin is still partially damp. For the best possible effect, you should pat your skin dry rather than rubbing it with your towel before you apply the lotion or moisturizing product.

3. Make sure that you are exfoliating on a weekly basis, or semi-weekly. Moisturizing products are going to be significantly more effective when you use them on skin that has been fully and properly exfoliated. You should be using a scrub in your shower and you should be exfoliating the skin on your face using a mild scrubbing product intended specifically for your face. Scrubbing your skin is best done when the skin is dry, surprisingly enough. Apply the scrub to your skin while it is dry, before you turn the shower on. If it is not moist enough for this, mix it with some motion. Massage the scrub in your skin for a few minutes in order to get the best possible results.

This skin care advice makes up the foundation for improving your dry skin once and for all.

The purpose of this phase is to mark the time when menstruation and fertility of the woman begins to decrease. Although menopause should never be considered to be an illness, it is still advisable that women dealing with the symptoms of menopause speak with a doctor regarding treatment of these symptoms. This is because the symptoms of menopause can become severe and they are also capable of impacting the daily life of the woman as well.

Menopause is capable of causing anxiety, sleeplessness, depression and numerous other symptoms that are capable of having long term and potentially negative impacts. Unfortunately, there are less easily treatable but still irritating symptoms of menopause that can impact you such as mood swings and hot flashes as well. If you are dealing with any of the primary symptoms of menopause and you are having difficulties coping, then you should visit your doctor to ask for help and to find out what treatment options you have available to you.

The average onset for the symptoms of menopause is between 45 and 55 years of age, at least in the United States. In other countries, the onset of the symptoms of menopause may actually be even earlier. For most of the women that are going through natural menopause, this phase is defined as existing the first day that your last period has ended. After a year of having no periods, you are considered to be infertile, and should no longer have to worry about getting pregnant. When it comes to menopause, there are actually a lot of unknowns, such as why some women have much more severe symptoms in comparison to other women. Women who smoke typically enter menopause much sooner than those who do not.

Some women experience a phase known as the perimenopause or pre-menopause transitional phase. This phase typically begins in the mid 40s to late 40s. The symptoms here are the same as the symptoms of menopause but they are usually less severe. In most cases, this perimenopausal phase is simply the entrance into the stage of menopause.

Some of the most common symptoms of menopause include:

  • Irregular bleeding, spotting and irregular periods,
  • Vaginal dryness,
  • Loss of sexual drive,
  • Pain during intercourse,
  • Hot flashes,
  • Incontinence,
  • Moodiness,
  • Night Sweats,
  • Sleeplessness,
  • Anxiety,
  • Muscle Soreness,
  • Memory Loss,
  • Exhaustion,
  • Heart Palpitations,
  • Thinning of the hair,
  • Osteoporosis,
  • Problems with the stomach,
  • Loss of memory.

Knowing the symptoms of menopause is a big step of understanding the processes that your body is going through during the menopause phase.

Over ten million people suffer from osteoporosis, according to the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), and most of these sufferers are women. Women are twice as likely to have issues with bone density and osteoporosis than men. However, there are steps women can take to stay healthy, avoid developing the life-altering disease, and understand their health information.

Osteoporosis is a disease that literally means porous bones, and it affects bone density. The disease develops when bones lose critical nutrients, such as calcium and phosphorous. While the disease affects all the bones in the body, the bones most likely to break are hips, wrist, and spine.

Many people already suffer from the disease, but have no idea. Some of the warning signs that you may have osteoporosis include:

  • Fractures to the vertebrae, wrists, hips or other bones
  • Loss of height in conjunction with a stooped posture or other spinal deformity
  • Severe back pain from a collapsed vertebrae

Changes in hormones have a major influence on the possibility of osteoporosis, but there are other possible factors, such as bed confinement, thyroid issues, bone cancer, inadequate calcium or vitamin D intake, age, sex, and body size. There are medical treatments for osteoporosis, but it's better to start early with preventative measures.

Here are some of the preventive measures that can help lower chance of osteoporosis.

Calcium/Vitamin D Intake

Changes the amount of nutrition in your diet to increase amounts of calcium and vitamin D. Taking a multivitamin also helps with the intake necessary to avoid this disease.

Weight-Bearing Exercise

This type of exercise, specifically jogging and walking, stimulates new bone growth and increases muscle mass, which protects bones against deterioration.

Other options are the following:

  • Add soy to your diet
  • Avoid caffeine
  • Limit alcohol and smoking
  • Hormone Therapy, for post-menopausal women

While these preventative measures are no guarantee that you won't contract osteoporosis after you start to lose bone mass, around 30, they will help to lower your chances. Proper nutrition and exercise are key to avoid the pains of this disease

It deals with your entire being from head to toe, meaning that your mind will be calmer and your body will be fitter, and all of you will be positively changed as a result of doing yoga. Yoga is beneficial in preventing diseases and health problems and giving you an overall sense of positive well being as well. When it comes to yoga for over 50 years old, senior citizens should consult a doctor and find out what asanas will best benefit them.

Different yoga poses have completely different health benefits. They can be linked up into a chain reaction yoga sequence that helps your entire body feel healthier, more energized, clearer and calmer as a result. It is vitally important that you be safe when practicing yoga as with any other workout program, especially if you are already injured or ill.

In practicing yoga, it is vitally important that you know and understand your body and your limits, and that you accept those limits. You should never push yourself too hard into any one pose. Yoga is only going to be effective if you practice it in the right way. If you try too hard, then you are going to expose yourself to an injury which will prevent you from getting the most out of what this fitness practice has to offer you.

Some symptoms associated with breast cancer diagnosis include a lump in the breast or a puckering of the surrounding skin. Other people experience an inverted nipple as a symptom before they obtain a breast cancer diagnosis.

Some people experience Paget's disease in the breast, and this contributes to obtaining a breast cancer diagnosis. Other people still may experience swelling, pain, itching, redness or tingling in the breast, or they may experience discharge coming from one of their nipples.   • How much fat the person consumes in their diet,
  • Propensity for obesity,
  • Whether or not the person smokes or consumes tobacco,
  • Whether or not the person has been exposed to radiation,

Causes of Breast Cancer

  • If you have had a personal history with cancer in one or both of the breasts, then your risk of another breast cancer diagnosis is going to be higher, especially in the other breast.
  • If you have a family history of breast cancer diagnosis, then there is a chance that your breast cancer risk will be higher as well.
  • Some women have unique cells that appear abnormal when they are looked at under a microscope, and these abnormal cells may actually increase the risk associated with breast cancer and a breast cancer diagnosis.
  • Breast cancer happens to be diagnosed much more commonly in women that are Caucasian in comparison to other ethnicities.

Being diagnosed with a breast cancer diagnosis is something that can be really difficult for the patient and his or her family and friends as well. In order to cope better with this period, it would be wise to research more information on your breast cancer diagnosis to gain an understanding of what is happening in your body.

Older women simply had to accept some things in the past, such as back pain, hunched backs and frailty, before doctors came to understand anything about osteoporosis. Now, however, there are a number of steps that girls and women can take in order to avoid these problems. Osteoporosis is threatening 44 million Americans, and 68% of these are women, according to reports by the National Osteoporosis Foundation.

Osteoporosis is actually highly preventable, and has a lot to do with the behaviors that are developed by women during their childhood, as well as during their adolescence and into their early adult years as well. These behaviors can play a truly significant role in the disease and its development. This is because our bodies are building up most of their bone mass until we reach the age of 30, and this is the point where new bone is no longer forming, and the new focus is placed on simply maintaining the old bone. It is never too late to begin to work on keeping bones strong, avoiding the occurrence of fractures.

Your body is going to do whatever it can in order to repair damage to the bone, but you also have to be willing to provide the tools to make it happen, such as the adequate consumption of calcium, as well as weight-bearing types of physical activity.

The osteoporosis risk factors that can affect women can include:

  • Being a female, as females are much more likely than men to develop osteoporosis,
  • Increasing in age, as bone density begins to break down with age when not properly cared for,
  • Women that have small and thin-boned frames,
  • Ethnicity, as the women that have the greater risk are white women and women of Asian descent,
  • Family history of osteoporosis,
  • Issues and imbalances with sex hormones, such as estrogen loss as a result of menopause and infrequent menstrual periods and cycles, as both may increase your risk,
  • Experience with anorexia,
  • A diet that is low in vitamin D or calcium,
  • Using certain medications, including some anticonvulsant medications and particularly glucocorticoids.
  • Living a lifestyle that is particularly sedentary,
  • Smoking,
  • Excessive drinking of alcohol

If you think that you are at risk for developing osteoporosis, then it would be wise for you to talk with your doctor. Your doctor will be able to tell you what you can do in order to prevent issues in the future.
