I just found out I'm on the brink of being diabetic (technically in prediabetes). My doctor says that I don't fit the usual profile for diabetetics who are usually older and overweight -- she's blaming mine on genetics. I'm hoping to hold off the full-blown disease for several years without meds if I can, so I'm really interested in finding recipes that emphasize healthy carbs and a better way of eating that may help reduce my blood sugar.
